2024 Fundraiser and Information Sessions - Coming soon!
Please join your neighbors, Charlestown Voice, and the Neighborhood Voice Alliance for a fundraiser social at a location and date TBD.
Funds are being raised to support legal activities to stop the Independence, also known as The Helm on Third Project.
Donations can be accepted by cash, check, PayPal, or Venmo. $100 is suggested but any amount is appreciated. Now that the Letter of Intent (LOI) has been formally filed by St. Francis House and the POUA to convert 50% of the Constitution Inn into "housing first" permanent supportive housing with no sobriety requirements, it is more important than ever to donate what you can, unite with your neighbors, and ensure your voices are heard.

Fundraiser at Pier 6 Restaurant - Sept 20, 2023 6:00-9:00 pm
Big thank you to our neighbors for the huge turnout at our third fundraiser social at the Pier 6 Restaurant, Charlestown to raise money for legal activities and awareness to stop the Independence, formerly known as Helm on Third Project. Generous donations were received, updates on next steps were outlined, and councilor Erin Murphy was present to show her support of our cause. Big thanks to Pier 5 Association for sponsoring our raffle! If you missed it, make sure to sign up for our newsletter or follow the Charlestown Voice group to be notified of upcoming events. In the meantime, you can donate here, spread the word / volunteer / reach out to our local politicians (info here), and write to the BPDA and oppose this project PRIOR TO OCT 30th here

Listening session at St. Francis de Sales Parish Hall - June 15, 2023 at 7:00-8:30 pm
Thank you for contributing to this critical conversation that impacts our Charlestown community. This listening session focused on the Helm project as well as other proposed and approved overdevelopment projects in our community. Neighbors used this time to voice their concerns, ask questions, and share ideas with the hope of shaping Charlestown to align with what the community wants and needs.
